Pos 420 - Community or Facility need for the building or renovation
Salem is the site of a surgical center which is currently open. The facility that offers this service is the Salem Community Hospital. The community which future papers that will be about Columbiana Ohio. The surrounding areas have surgery centers affiliated with the community hospitals established in that particular area. Residents form different rural areas must travel many distances to receive this service. A new building will need to be constructed for a Surgery Center in the planned site.
Type of population served and will serve
Hcs446 - The Salem Community Hospital Surgery Center services those individuals who have elected to have outpatient surgery. The patients are made up of different ages, genders, and races. The suggested surgery center will also have a similar population to provide its services. The Surgery Center in Salem Community Hospital only accommodates infants and children with a specific health care problem that requires specific surgery. Example of a specific surgery is tonsil and adenoid removal and ear tube insertion. The suggested surgery center will be able to provide full pediatric surgeries for those in need. Currently residents of the suggested community must travel to pediatric hospitals long distance from their community.
